Very impressive and interesting way to begin the entire series. Personally, I am a fan of voice-overs, so the inclusion of them is a plus, as long as they are well fitted, which they were. I can already see how good of a relationship Matt and his father have. Jack wants Matt to make something good with his life, while Matt wants to be like dear old daddy, not thinking whether or not he'll even be good at it or be able to make a living off of it.
It was a great ending to the episode. Although you had such a short time period to resolve that entire fight and more, you pulled it off, which was not only surprising, but helps to show how good of a series this is going to be. The fight was so well detailed that I could imagine it happening in my head, image by image. It also amazing that Jack's killer was caught already, as I expected it to take another entire episode to do so. Good work.
Very impressed with this pilot. One of the tops that I have ever read. I am not a fan of Daredevil and I feel just by reading this pilot, it has made me at least somewhat of a fan already. It is amazing that you were able to build a good father/son relationship, kill off the father, make Matt become Daredevil, and have a fight with Jack's killer getting caught (AND MORE!!), ALL in one episode!! AMAZING in every way of the word! Only a few grammar mistakes were made (but don't we all), making this one kick ass pilot episode. Be expecting me to be reading and reviewing more.
