Shackles - Episode 1x03 - Repossession

Yet another fabulous opening was presented in this episode. The teaser says it all and each episode you nail them and make it so we can't stop reading. I get sucked in right away. Matilda and Clarissa's relationship is something that is really interesting me right now and I can't wait to figure or find out exactly what is going on.

I can also tell you really like the gruesome scenes. You should say "parental discretion is advised" before the episode begins.

So now the Arabian is not just a driver, he's now the clean up crew. There HAS to be something more to him then meets the eye. Maybe he is a posioned... So I wonder who it is that is also a poison. I have a theory right now of it to be either Matilda OR the Arabian. Just to tickle my own fancy, I hope its the Arabian.

I think that I've finally seen the real Gillian and Pumpkin. Raven Symone is an awesome fit for Gillian. She gives the mother/daughter relationship the zing that it needs to entertain emotionally. So now both mother and daughter, and father and son have these tense relationships that seem to normally cause either angry glares, hurtful "don't go there" comments, and did I mention angry glares? Also, is it just me or are some other characters like Matilda and Clarissa getting more lines and screen time then Duncan?

Of course, I'm wondering how they are going to get the book and all and they get it. Man, I think some of my theories are working out awesome! I didn't like the ending to this episode nearly as much as I had the first two. I was hoping for a cliffhanger, but we already knew that Clarissa was Poisoned, so other then now knowing that Clarissa was at Epoch's bedside when he died, it isn't that big of a deal unless it turns out that Clarissa was given the healing powers or something, which I highly doubt.
