This episode gave a lot of the back story to that of Wade Wilson. It was great how the episode was an entire flashback. Flashbacks are guilty pleasures of mine that seem to always be well written.
I liked how Wade had been connected to the entire Murdochverse. Seeing Maggie was a plus, along with getting the inside look at some of the X-Men.
2 characters we now know so much more about. First off, Amanda. Damn Amanda. This entire time, she has seemed as though she has a bigger purpose. She has always appeared to be hiding something. Well, now we know that she was. She's been hiding all of these events, as she is one of the few left that actually remembers them all. On top of that, we've discovered that her son (not Foggy, her other son) is a mutant, but I only can wonder what his power is and what that'll mean for him later.
Also, we learned why Wade is the way he is today. He woke up on this rooftop, not remembering a thing, and is immediately thrust back into the world. Wade drinks and acts like an ass all the time because he doesn't really know who he is, since he can't remember. This episode only leads me to believe that Wade will have more to deal with come the second season.
I was wishing for a real cliffhanger type episode. We got a little miny one, wondering what'll happen with Wade from then on, but we know where he will end up, so it wasn't as much of a cliffhanger. But don't get me wrong, I can't wait to read 2x01, especially if it resolves some issues from earlier in the season.
All I have to say is that this is by far the best episode of the season. The most fluid of all the scripts, and it also had some of cleanest dialogue and contained very few spelling errors! HOORAY!
