Hell's Gate - Episode 1x01 - Small Town Life

I must admit, I didn't expect to not have much to say about this! It was just so good!

I really liked the humor in this episode. That is what I feel makes it the most memorable to me. I really wish that it will continue throughout the season, even though I'm sure that there will be that episode or two where it just isn't the time or place for laughs.

Frank is a great character. I like his somewhat bipolar-ish personality, where he just jumps from being this real likeable guy, to this shouting ass; in like a split second.

Vi is talkative for sure and she made me laugh almost as much as Mike did throughout the episode. On top of that, the casting for Vi is spot on. I can completely imagine Felicia Day as this kick ass fighter who just won't shut her mouth every once in a while.

I get the feeling Tyler will have some doubts throughout the season on being involved with the team. I mean, he came for a regular job, and it gets me wondering whether or not he'll eventually leave the job, or leave the team. I just don't think he'll be able to handle both workloads.

Mike was the life of the episode. His wise ass comments were what kept the episode going for me. Him being gay makes it all the better, because he is able to make those gay jokes about himself, and gets people like Lon uncomfortable. (that eye scene had to be the funniest part of the episode!)

I can definitely envision Lon hating Mike. It was a no-brainer for me from the start of the episode, especially after that little scene with looking into Mike's eyes. I do feel sorry for Lon though because his own sister is the one that starts tormenting him, and just draws everyone in. But then again, I don't know from experience, as I don't have a sister. Maybe that is just what sister's like to do.

Tamsin is quite interesting of a charatcer. I'm not sure what to say about her, so I think I'll svae some comments on her for after I read some more episodes...

As for the ending, it really got me thinking. That is something else I'll wait until later for, because I believe that we will find out more about that whole thing later on. It was an amazing ending though, and I can't wait to get to reading some more!
